Getting the Best Results

Text-based PDFs (reports, forms, exported documents) convert cleanly with formatting mostly intact. Scanned PDFs made only of images won't have selectable text to convert - for those you'd need an OCR tool first. Very complex layouts (multi-column magazines, heavy design work) may shift slightly since Word and PDF handle layout differently.
